He learned to play Texas hold'em from
Scoop Da Loot and Rocky, but you
would never know it to watch him play. They are great players, with
amazing discipline, Skill Vacuum is not. He lacks the patience to fold
80% of his hands pre-flop, and tends to play just about anything
connected, any Ace, and many other 'bad' hands. This is nowhere near a
smart limit strategy, yet somehow he pulls stuff out of his ass quite
frequently, and does much better than he should. He is most dangerous in
a no-limit game, it is a game more accustomed to his style of play. Don't
expect to see weakness from him, and good luck trying to put him on a
hand, its like finding a needle in a hay stack. He'll raise 56s and call
his AA, just to keep people guessing. Don't let the recklessness fool you
though, he plays oddly pre-flop, but after the flop he has good instincts,
and his aggression pays off a lot. In tournament play in home games, he
gets accused of trying to turn every hand into a slot machine. He has
'sucked out' in so many hands, that the name Skill Vacuum became an
obvious nickname. He has good instincts, but like any aggressive player,
his timing can be wrong, and is notorious for being the first one out in a
tourney. But when it comes to overall winning percentage he's right up
near the top, and someone you don't want to face when he has a chip lead.
Overall, he is just one of those pain-in-the-ass players that can have you
pulling your hair out after catching a river card, and have you asking
yourself, "How could he play that?"
